Four people, all from the regulatory intelligence and compliance space. We built Ruleward because we knew what mid-size compliance teams were dealing with — and we had the background to do something about it.
CEO & Co-Founder
Wilson spent four years as a compliance officer at a DC-area registered investment adviser, managing regulatory tracking for the firm’s SEC and FINRA registrations. The experience of scrambling through 14 written supervisory procedures after a surprise FINRA risk alert — with no tool to map the alert to existing firm policies — became the founding insight for Ruleward. Georgetown Law JD.
CTO & Co-Founder
Adaora spent six years as a software engineer at FiscalNote, building the regulatory tracking infrastructure used by federal government affairs teams to monitor congressional and regulatory activity. That work — ingesting regulatory publications at scale, classifying them by topic and agency, and routing relevant items to the right people — is the technical core of what Ruleward does for financial compliance teams. DC-based.
Head of Compliance Partnerships
Kwabena spent five years as a regional sales manager at Compliance.ai, covering Mid-Atlantic financial firms. He understands what compliance officers actually need from a regulatory intelligence platform — and where existing tools fall short for teams without a large in-house regulatory affairs function. He leads Ruleward’s firm relationships and implementation work.
ML Engineer
Svetlana holds an MS in computational linguistics from Georgetown and spent two years at a DC policy analysis startup doing classification work on financial regulatory text — identifying rule types, affected parties, and compliance obligations from raw publication text. She leads the NLP and classification work that powers Ruleward’s relevance scoring and gap-mapping layers.
We are a small team building something we think is genuinely useful for compliance officers who are doing serious work with limited resources. If you are a compliance professional curious about the platform, or you want to talk about joining the team, we would like to hear from you.
